PearlTrees is a collaborative website to store thoughts, links, videos, and notes. At the time I am writing this post, I have a “tree” for


  • SECO/eTech Lake Erie Water Snake Presentation (with resources)
  • SECO 5th grade Space Science Planets presentation (with resources)
  • Science Professional Development (interesting articles, videos, etc that I thought could foster conversation)
  • Model Curriculum product ideas (nifty sites that could be used for teacher demos or student assessment products.  Most, if not all, are Web 2.0 tools.)
  • A collection of other people’s “trees”

PearlTrees are collaborative.  All “trees” are public unless you have the premium account.  For every “pearl” anyone can post comments.  People can also join to form a team so they can contribute to a common “tree.”

I use this as a brain dump.  It is easy to organize thoughts/resources after I add them.  You can also duplicate resources and add them to multiple “trees.”  I love that each “tree” has a url, as well as the main tree (super easy url of
